Domaine des Clos is just 20 minutes from three UNESCO World Heritage sites.

They are packed with museums and historic monuments: Arles the Beautiful, Avignon the Papal and the colossal Pont du Gard, a Roman aqueduct spanning the Gardon gorges. Stroll around and enjoy...

But also discover Nîmes, la Romaine (20'), the Provencal villages and markets of the Alpilles, Saint-Remy, Les Baux-de-Provence (30'), the olive oil trail, from harvest to pressing, fields of olive trees as far as the eye can see, oil mills and in-house tastings.

The Camargue National Nature Reserve (30'), with its black bulls, white horses, pink flamingos and beaches (45'), Uzès, ducal city and capital of the black truffle (35'), the hilltop villages of the Lubéron (45'), Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, the Venice of the Vaucluse, with its flea markets and traders on the water. Marseille, Montpellier and Aix-en Provence are an hour's drive away.

Vallabrègues, la petite péniche du BlackBee

Sail the Rhône, pass the impressive lock, turn around at the foot of the castles of Tarascon and Beaucaire, and discover the fauna, flora and legendary creatures that inhabit the Rhône with Florent. A sunset aperitif for young and old is available on request.

Vallabrègues, Manade du Rhône

Visit the bulls in the pastures in a horse-drawn cart, demonstration of bull sorting by the gardians on horseback, gardian's breakfast. Every Wednesday morning during the summer, by reservation at the Beaucaire Tourist Office.

Pont-de-Gau, Parc ornithologique de Camargue

Visit the 60-hectare nature reserve and 7 kilometres of walks, a paradise for all the birds of the Camargue, including pink flamingos.... Guided or self-guided tours, nature activities, fun workshops.

Aigues-Mortes, Salins du Midi

A site where salt has been produced industrially since ancient times. A place of breathtaking beauty, with intense blues, pure whites and sparkling pinks, a complete biotope, a breeding ground for birds to be discovered on a hike, bike ride, mini-train or 4X4 safari with a local guide...

Camargue races are held in every village. A traditional sport for the bold and daring, approved by the French Sports Federation. With its schools, championships, male and female stars and prize lists. Races or guided tours in French, English and German can be booked at the Beaucaire Tourist Office.


Walking and jogging

Loops of 5 and 10 kilometres around the estate. Numerous itineraries along the canal, between vineyards, garrigue and orchards, or on major listed natural sites (the Pont du Gard and the Gardon river gorges, the Camargue national nature park, etc.).

Cycling tourism

We are at the crossroads of three European cycle tourism routes, including the Via Rhôna linking Lake Geneva to the Mediterranean along the Rhône and the Domaine des Clos with a brand new route: from the Nourriguier lock to the Pont du Gard! Follow the towpaths, the fields, the marshes, the vineyards or climb up to the Pont du Gard... There's something for everyone, with family or friends, the bravest can reach Uzès!

Weather point, maps and guides available at reception. Hire and delivery of all types of bikes (mountain bikes, electric bikes, etc.) to the Domaine, bike garage. Electric recharging point available on request.

Swimming, canoeing and kayaking, 40 minutes away

From Collias or Remoulins, head down the Gardon gorges and pass under the Pont du Gard! It's a classy river, accessible to all the family, with plenty of places to swim in the clear emerald water, friendly little beaches and an impressive variety of landscapes.

Horse rides and horseback riding

Mas Saint-Germain, Camargue. This is the region, the time to enjoy this activity on your own or with the family. Introductory lessons for the more anxious, for the very young, the pony Zephir is with you to ride on his back and then everyone sets off together to explore. Two hours including horse care.

Private walks and/or birdwatching tours available.

For the more accomplished, advanced lessons, gallop courses and personalised rides.

Racing Kart, Beaucaire

2 tracks 1 kilometre long. 30 classic karts, including karts on sports wheels to give you the thrills of a Formula 1 driver, baby karts for children and two-seaters to get the little ones involved or to be with friends.


Numerous beautiful golf courses in Beaucaire, Nîmes, Mouriès, Baux-de-Provence... A friendly reciprocity is active between the Domaine des Clos and the Nîmes Campagne golf course (20'): our golf-loving guests are offered breakfast at the Domaine and a 20% discount on their green fee. Those accompanying them can enjoy the swimming pool and tennis courts. Recognised as one of the finest golf courses in France and Europe, the 18-hole course is set in an exceptional site planted with centuries-old oak and poplar trees and irrigated by the Lamour canal.
