David and Sandrine Ausset are both natives of the region. In the late 90’s they fall under the charm of Domaine des Clos, an old wine estate, built in the 18th century and abandoned for many years. Age 30, they leave behind them their Parisian lifestyle with its office hours (American Accountancy Firm for David and Communications Agency managed by Sandrine) and accompanied by their 3 young children return to the country side.
Over the years, David found himself being overseer, gardener and accountant. Sandrine painter, decorator, receptionist and cook.
Together, they patiently imagined, restored, transformed, the old buildings the Pigeon House, the stables, the refectory, the sleeping quarters for the grape pickers, the bread oven, the wine store-house (chai), the fountain and covered terraces and designed and planted a vast garden and swimming pool…
Charm and authenticity, with contemporary comforts, were and still are their guiding principles in the restoration and decoration of the farmhouse and its buildings.
“We welcome you to Domaine des Clos, with genuine family warmth,it’s a place where we want you to relax and feel at home.” The difference? It comes with hotel service.
